Pick cryptocurrency X (the one you are interested in) and cryptocurrency Y (whose market cap you want to apply). You will see the estimated price X would have with Y's market cap.

Ethereum trades at $2,388.75, with a market cap of $291.4 B and 122,053,083 ETH in circulation. Bitcoin is capitalised at $1.52 T. If Ethereum had that market cap, each ETH would be worth $12,447.96: ×5.2 its current price.
CoinGecko data updated on September 16, 2026, 17:15 (UTC). These are the same figures the drop-downs above use.
The market capitalisation (market cap) of a cryptocurrency is its price multiplied by the units in circulation. The calculator turns that sum around: it takes Y's market cap and spreads it across X's units.
estimated price of X = market cap of Y ÷ units of X in circulation
The multiplier is that estimated price divided by X's current price: a ×10 means X would have to be worth ten times as much to reach Y's market cap. When Y is smaller than X, the estimated price falls below the current one and is written as a division (÷).
The ten largest by market cap that trade freely, with no stablecoins and no tokenised funds: a dollar "with the market cap of Bitcoin" means nothing. Each name links to its page.

No. It is arithmetic on two of today's figures. For X to reach Y's market cap, an equivalent demand would have to flow into it, and none of this says whether that will happen or when. The sum also takes three things for granted that do not hold in practice:
It is the price of one unit multiplied by the units in circulation. It is how you compare the size of two cryptocurrencies trading at very different prices: a coin at ten cents with a billion units is worth exactly as much overall as one at a hundred dollars with a million.
Because the price per unit depends on how many units exist. A coin at a thousandth of a dollar with a trillion units in circulation is already capitalised at a billion dollars; to "reach one dollar" it would have to be worth as much overall as the largest coins on the market. That is why this calculator compares market caps and not prices.
No. It uses the circulating supply CoinGecko publishes, not the total or the maximum supply. If a coin still has a lot of issuance to come, its fully diluted valuation (FDV) is higher than its circulating market cap, and the price it would command for that same market cap would be lower than the one you see here.
From CoinGecko, the same ones the rest of Jukipto uses. They are cached and refreshed through the day; the exact timestamp of the ones you are looking at appears below the example.
